My new research project: ‘Transnational Identities of the Global South Asian Diaspora in Australia, Canada, Aotearoa New Zealand, and South Africa’ officially began on 1 December 2019. Perhaps fittingly I was just on my way back home to Hong Kong from a conference in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand. I cannot wait to return there to carry out archival research for my new project 🙂 I was quite keen for people to be able to follow the progress of my research and so I created a website for the project (www.globalsouthasiandiaspora.com) and a Twitter page (@globalsouthasi1), and I am just writing my first blog post 🙂 If you are interested in following my research project please follow the Twitter handle and/or the website. I am so excited to be starting a new research project and cannot wait to see where the journey will take me! 🙂
